Key Responsibilities:
Conduct end-to-end functional testing of Retail POS systems to ensure they meet business requirements and user expectations for mobile and desktop solutions.
Validate POS functionalities such as sales transactions, inventory management, payment processing, returns, and reporting.
Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools like JIRA or similar platforms.
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for regression and functional testing.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and delivery.
Collaborate with development teams to identify test scenarios and automate repetitive testing tasks.
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories.
Document test results and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
Ensure traceability between test cases and business requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Mandatory Skills:
At least 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Retail POS systems.
Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SOAPUI is a plus.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in any test management tools like Jira-Zephyr, HP ALM, MS TFS
Nice to have:
Knowledge of database testing and SQL queries.
Familiarity with retail industry standards and compliance requirements.
knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber BDD).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation
