Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to lead the design, architecture, and successful delivery of a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation for a large, diversified group of companies. The role involves developing a scalable and future-ready enterprise architecture that supports both retail and non-retail business models, ensuring business alignment, integration, and performance across all operating companies.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead the Enterprise Architecture Design for a greenfield SAP S/4HANA program across multiple business units and industries.

  • Develop and communicate the target state architecture, including application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from retail and non-retail companies to understand business processes, goals, and pain points.

  • Define and manage the transition roadmap from legacy systems to the new SAP landscape.

  • Ensure the architecture supports standardization, scalability, and integration across subsidiaries with varied operational models.

  • Provide oversight to SAP functional and technical teams, ensuring alignment with the overall architecture vision.

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to complement the SAP ecosystem (e.g., data lakes, middleware, analytics, mobile).

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the development of a business case, TCO analysis, and program governance model.

  • Act as a key advisor to the program steering committee and executive leadership.

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 15+ years in enterprise architecture, with at least 5+ years in SAP architecture roles.

  • Proven experience in leading greenfield S/4HANA implementations in large, complex environments.

  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA core modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, etc.).

  • Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori, and cloud-based SAP landscapes is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of retail and non-retail industry business processes and operating models.

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification preferred.

  • Experience with SAP Retail, CAR, or Omnichannel solutions.

  • Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures in SAP context.

  • Knowledge of data architecture, AI/ML, or intelligent automation in the SAP landscape
